Applications
Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate Food Grade also known as TKPP is mainly used as an emulsifier and texture agent in foods like dairy products, drinking water, meat products and low sodium foods. TKPP is also utilized in many industrial applications like used as a clay thinner in drilling muds, an anionic dispersant in water-based paints, and a metal ion chelator. Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate (TKPP) is used in surfactants/detergents, washing cleaning agents, textile and leather agent, and pharmaceutical products. It is also a buffering and dispersing agent.
