Methyl Paraben USP/NF is most frequently used antimicrobial preservative in cosmetics. It has a role as a plant metabolite, an antimicrobial food preservative in foods and beverages, a neuroprotective agent and an antifungal agent in pharmaceuticals and personal care products. This product has been tested and meets the standards set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for purity and quality. USP–NF is a combination of two compendia, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Formulary (NF).
