Applications
Lactic Acid 88 % Food Grade is an organic acid occurring naturally in the human body and in fermented foods. It can be produced via fermentation of carbohydrates, or synthesized from acetaldehyde. It can be used in a wide range of food, personal care, and chemical products. It’s used as an acidifier with moisturizing, exfoliation and antibacterial agent in cosmetic and personal care products like face wash and lotions. In the food industry, Lactic Acid 88% Food Grade is used as a curing agent, preservative and flavoring agent in food products like wine, beer, bakery products, beverages, meat products, dairy products, salad dressings and confections. Lactic Acid 88% Food Grade is also employed in pharmaceutical technology to produce water-soluble lactates from otherwise-insoluble active ingredients. The antimicrobial properties of lactic acid have made it a popular ingredient in cleaners and disinfectants like hand sanitizer, dish soap, and household cleaning products.
