L-Leucine USP is an essential amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. It regulates cellular processes need for cell regeneration and metabolism. It’s used as an active ingredient, nutrient supplement and food additive in food products and pharmaceuticals. L-leucine has E number E641 and is classified as a flavor enhancer. It’s also one of main raw materials of branched chain amino acids (BCAA). Leucine is popular among bodybuilders due to its potential to support muscle growth. According to studies, leucine supplementation may help improve muscle recovery when combined with resistance training. It is also used to reduce inflammation and stabilize blood sugar.
