Hydrochloric Acid also knows as Muriatic Acid, is a colorless liquid with a distinctive pungent smell. It is used in the production of chlorides, fertilizers, hydrolyzing starch and proteins, pickling and cleaning metal products, electroplating, refining ore, leather tanning agents, oil- and gas-well treatment, textile cleaning agents, removing scale from boilers and heat-exchange equipment, brewing industry, pH control , as a laboratory reagent, in pharmaceuticals and food processing.
