Copper Chloride Dihydrate is a brownish-yellow hygroscopic powder, It is used in the dyeing and printing of textiles, as red pigment in the glass and ceramic industries, and for green-colored pyrotechnics, wood preservative, deodorizer, water purification, feed additive, pharmaceuticals, marking inks and electroplating baths. In other applications, It can also be used as a chlorinating agent; oxidizing agent; Lewis acid; or catalyst for conjugate additions and acylation.
