Applications

Cetyl Alcohol NF Grade is used as an opacifier in the manufacture of shampoos and related products. You can also find it in lotions, skin creams and a cosmetic, in which it acts as an emollient, emulsifier and thickening agent. Cetyl alcohol  NF grade can also be used as a metal lubricant for nuts and bolts etc., as a nonionic surfactant in soaps and detergents; it’s used as an intermediate in the processing of textiles and plastics.
