It is used in Water treatment as a reducing agent to remove chlorine and other chemicals from water. Ascorbic Acid can also be used in Photography: as a developing agent in film and photography. It is used in Horticulture as a plant growth enhancer and to protect plants from environmental stress. Ascorbic Acid is also used in cleaning products as a stain remover.
