It is used in the manufacturing of papers, rubbers, ammonia soaps, detergents, pharmaceutical products, fireproofing woods, inks, ceramics, and ammonium compounds. It is also utilized in metal extraction and a neutralizing agent for acids. It is used in the textile industry and a mordant. It is used in cosmetic products to neutralize the acidity of the product.
